My wishes come true, my falling star

After unexpectedly quitting my work of two years, I made a decision to do something in character, I joined Corazon.com in order to try my luck. I am in a wheelchair, thus was nervous about a dating website joining. I was not sure if men could see past my wheelchair, but in my profile I made sure I was honest and up front. I was sick of dating guys who were interested only in one night dates, and was searching for the serious relationship.

After about 4 days, Todd made the first step, he was actually one of the first guys to do so. So, we began emailing and then chatting, and then we talked on the phone. After several months we arranged a date in person, but, he had to put off our first meeting because his cat had to be put down. The next evening, we were consequently going to meet and he called me and then asked if I can pick him up. I was very nervous about having a strange man in my car, however, when I saw him, he seemed to be trustworthy and kind. After a nervous, quiet car ride with Todd, we got to the café where we planned to have a conversation, have dinner and play some pool together. He then told that his key-card was not working. I thought this was pretence or that he was a misfit but he promised that he will pay me back, so I made a decision to continue on the date to look at what happened.

He asked me out that evening for a next date on the weekend that I was excited about very much. After 7 weeks of our dating, we decided to live together, although we’re both nervous as for it was very soon, it was the best decision for us, since we’re spending all the time anyway together! One of the features that attracted me to him is that Todd is an ardent animal lover, actually like me. I had a dog when I and Todd met, he was not a huge dog person, but now they like each other even more than I could have hoped for! We have two cats that we’ve bought together, who are considered as our little children.

He proposed me to marry him 19 months into our relationship and we plan to get married on our 3-year anniversary. We both agreed that it was such an ideal date to marry on. We’ve decided to honor late mother’s memory of Todd by having the ceremony at the see where her ashes were scattered. With 6 months to go and almost everything organized, we’re happier than ever to start the rest of our lives formally together! I cannot wait to get married with Todd and my wish come true, my falling star!
