We met on the Internet

I didn’t believe in that stuff…

My attitude to the online dating in search of the perfect match was skeptical. I thought that people practicing this method of dating are some flawed, have problems in a real life, are unable for a serious relationship, to put it simply… they are morons. But remembering the stories heard about online dating of many happy couples (they met on the Internet), I decided to try my luck on the blossoms.com, one of the best Asian dating sites.

So, I registered on this dating site, uploaded my photos and wrote that I was waiting for a message from the prince. But without any positive results.

From a small town with a population of 500 thousand people, I moved to a city with more than 3 million people. And here I got acquainted with one remarkable man. And where do you think I got to know him? Correctly. On the Internet!

I got a job working in a small bank. I did not haveany friends or acquaintances in the city. So, I remembered about my account on the dating site and decided to see what new profiles appeared. And so during the long winter evenings I looked through the photos of the new and old members. Among the large number of photos I saw a very nice young man. His name told me nothing, but his face was so familiar and… well, familiar. I opened his profile and then visited his page again in some time frantically touching in memory the faces of people (I have a very good memory for faces) and trying to remember where I could see him. But I couldn’t remember. After three days of hiking on his page, I decided to write to him in hope that he is still some of my friends and in a conversation he will help me remember.

Go on, try it!

So, I wrote something ridiculous like “I’m sorry that I’m staring at you so often, but your face is very familiar to me and I can’t remember.” He wrote a very nice response: “I am very pleased that you look at me, and my face seems familiar to you, perhaps, because we are working for the same organization with you…”

And so we began our chatting online, but without any platitudes “What are you doing? Do you have a boyfriend? “In general, without all the things that I described above. We were just talking about books, esoteric, weather, sports, photos. A week later, he invited me to dinner arguing his proposal that he disliked to communicate online.

We are together for almost two years and for a year we live together. He is the most wonderful man in the world. I have never loved anybody, but do love him. And now, when our friends (his or mine) ask us where we met, we burst out laughing. They offer different variants, but no one has ever guessed. We met on the Internet.
