Newest survey helped to find out which phrases are the worst online dating phrases in profiles on online dating websites.

Here are some of the most popular expressions.

“Hello, is it me you are looking for?”

Craig Smith (Glasgow) has just got to let everyone know how much he doesn’t like this line from the Lionel Richie.

“It is one of the popular headline/straplines descriptions for a profile of women that I’ve come across, and it really bugs me now,” says he.

“Looking for my knight in shining armour”

This is “not outdated only in today’s day life but a much-misunderstood myth also “.

He urges females to leave this stereotype and look for “caring” men.

Those women seeking such a man are living in “a fantasy land”, says Sir Steven Mountjoy (Wolverhampton).

“I do not bite, unless you ask me to”

It makes Gemma Webster (Oldbury) feel irritation. She worked for an online dating agency for several years approving profiles.

“It is amazing that several years later users are still using the similar phrases,” says she.

“If you cannot handle me at my worst, then you sure as hell do not deserve me at my best”.

The complete quote is by Marilyn Monroe: “I am selfish, a little insecure and impatient. I make mistakes also; I’m hard to handle and at times out of control. But if you cannot handle me at my worst, then you sure as hell do not deserve me at my best.” Watson Brown (Aberdeen) complains that a lot of women “feel forced to regurgitate” it.

“Looking to make friends”

Olive (Boston) says it is always funny to meet people say they’re looking for friendship on a dating site: “If you’re looking for friendship then an interest group site or club would be more proper place.”

Of course, they can just trying to appear coy. Although Teresa Bentley (Horsham) warns that this could backfire: “If you are an adult but you have not got any friends, then that suggests flaw of personality.”

“I do not take life very seriously”

Joe (Harrow) says that someone who types this is effectively saying would-be partners: “I want somebody as lacking in aim or purpose as me.”

Claire (London) suspects men who tell they’re looking for somebody like this say that they will treat you not enough and “you cannot get annoyed, because you are not meant to take yourself seriously too “.

Ady Miles (Wednesbury) just does not think that it is possible. “Can you ever take you life too seriously? We all want somebody who is fun, but are not we all being very serious about searching for someone special?”
